Why Custom Bracing ?

Legs come in all shapes and sizes and it is important that a knee brace fits comfortably and stays in position, no matter what the activity level of the patient.

All Ossur braces are designed to be secure on the leg to treat the condition optimally. For patients whose weight is in proportion to their height, a prefabricated knee brace may suffice. These are prefabricated and available in different sizes.

Custom braces account for subtle leg nuances; providing a brace fit that is truly individual. Custom bracing can provide a problem-free fit, regardless of leg shape, size, or alignment. Importantly, a broad scope of corrective adjustments is available with our custom knee braces.

A brace has to produce a significant amount of force in order to stabilize an unstable knee or to unload a damaged knee compartment. To achieve this, the knee brace must fit perfectly and stay in position at all times. Unlike other products on the market, functional braces employ patented technologies that effectively reduce migration and encourage correct anatomical motion of the knee.

Indications & Usage

• ACL, MCL, LCL, PCL, rotary and combined instabilities
  
• For High-End Use
  For high levels of impact, we recommend the CTi Pro Sport model. Additional carbon fiber and a thicker core structure is used in the frame to provide maximum support and protection against extreme contact.
• For Moderate to High-End Use
  For moderate to high impact levels of impact, we recommend the CTi Standard model. Carbon composite, rigid frame construction using a thin core structure provides excellent support and protection against moderate to high levels of impact in a lighter design than the CTi Pro Sport.

• For Low-End Use
For low levels of impact, we recommend the CTi Vapor model, the lightest CTi model yet. Reduced carbon fiber using a thin core structure provides excellent support and protection against any low to moderate levels of impact.
